Being able to choose a truck and build a company is the main draw of Euro Truck Simulator 2. The available trucks to purchase range from affordable options from DAF and Iveco to luxurious offerings from Mercedes-Benz and Volvo.

No matter anyone's cup of tea, there are tons of trucks to choose from. Each one has its own unique, special features, with some having fewer blind spots and others offering powerful engines. Budget is another important component, with some trucks reaching well over 300,000 Euros. With all these factors put together, players will want to choose wisely when spending their hard-earned cash.

As of a few new updates introduced in May and July, there have been two new trucks added to the game that serve as electric versions of some popular gas-powered trucks. We have added these two options into the list, so players can properly decide between these two new electric options and the other trucks that are available to them for purchase. Readers will find information on their price, horsepower, and the different models available.

Starting out with one of the more affordable options for first-time drivers, we have the DAF XD. Although this truck is not as cheap as the DAF 2021, or even the Renault T, it still stays on the lower end of prices and has incredible visibility. You'll have no problem seeing the surrounding roads, and any nearby trucks and cars.

Outside of these aspects, though, the DAF XD falls short. It only has the capability to reach a maximum of 450 Horsepower, and this is if you purchase the most expensive engine option. If you're looking for a truck to carry massive loads and lift you up steep hills with fast acceleration, the DAF XD is not your best bet. Its fuel tank also only offers one option of 430 I. Overall, this truck is a decent beginner option, but you're really better off using a modded truck.

12 DAF 2021

An Affordable Starter

As another beginner-friendly truck option, we have the DAF 2021. This truck is on the affordable side, with the cheapest model coming in at 114,360 Euros. It starts at 299 Horsepower and can reach all the way up to 530 Horsepower. Along with this, you can expect a decently sized fuel tank, ranging from 600 I up to 1465 I.

Despite this model having the ability to upgrade to higher power, it is still one of the weaker options for its price. Its torque is nothing to write home about, either, making it slow to accelerate. This truck is best for those who mostly just prefer the DAF interior and open windows for a lower price.

11 Renault T

A Powerful, Cheap Base Model

Another one of the most affordable trucks in the game is the Renault T. Despite being cheap, it still offers robust upgrades, all the way up to 520 Horsepower. It is one of the cheapest base models players can get, clocking in at only 117,343 Euros for the base Renault T Sleeper. This model also offers massive fuel tanks for the price, ranging from 485 I to a whopping 1475 I.

Renault T far outweighs the other cheap trucks due to its affordability while still offering 380 Horsepower for the base model, as opposed to DAF's more expensive offering, which only reaches 299 Horsepower. This truck is sure to get anyone through the start of their journey but most likely will not carry through the larger hauls with poor acceleration. You'll struggle with visibility in this truck as well, making it tough to navigate the long roads, especially if you've got a lower FPS setting.

10 DAF XF Euro 6

The Best For Visibility

Although DAF is more on the pricey side for lower-end models, the DAF XF Euro 6 is one of the more powerful options for a lower price. Its model ranges from 370 to 530 Horsepower, just barely inching out the Renault T. Its fuel tanks can go anywhere from 800 I to 1400 I, allowing you to less frequently stop for a gas refill.

Another positive draw of the DAF XF Euro 6 is its visibility. The truck has very minimal blind spots, with large, open windows and mirrors to allow players to see their surroundings with ease. The truck has a luxurious exterior and can be purchased for a base price of 128,030 Euros. Though it doesn't have the strongest Horsepower, you'll still be able to easily accelerate with smaller loads.

9 Iveco Stralis Hi-Way

Fantastic Maneuverability With Speed

The Iveco Stralis Hi-Way has a wide range of Horsepower options, from 310 to 560 at its highest. Despite having more powerful engines, it still has a lower price tag than those with comparable strength. It is especially useful for normal cargo and maneuverability in beginner jobs.

One of the few negatives of this truck is its front window design. There is a large blind spot on the sides, making it hard to catch all the nearby surroundings. The front window isn’t as open and as tall as some other trucks, making it a bit more risky for spotting close-up cars. You'll also find that the fuel tank only ranges from 580 I to 1200 I, so you'll need to make more frequent stops than other entries in this list.

8 Scania S Electric

A Decent Intro To Electric

As players are slowly introduced to new electric options in Euro Truck Simulator 2, one of the new ones available is the Scania S Electric. This option has a small range of Horsepower but can go all the way up to an impressive 610 Horsepower, making it relatively powerful to use. Along with this, it offers an impressive battery of 624 kWh, which can allow players to reach up to 520 km of travel before needing to stop and charge.

Although this truck certainly has its strengths, it unfortunately comes at a pretty high price for what it offers. Players can easily find more powerful trucks at a lower price in the game, as well as ones that offer more cabin options and upgrades. It is a decent electric truck to start with, but it can be traded in for something better.

7 Mercedes-Benz New Actros

The Most Luxurious Exterior

Surprisingly, the Mercedes-Benz New Actros is one of the cheaper options on the market. Its base model starts at a whopping 421 Horsepower at a price of 119,375 Euros. Its torque is on the powerful side as well, making it a breeze to accelerate and climb up hills using this truck.

The main thing holding this truck back from reaching a higher spot is its less-than-stellar upgrades. There are other trucks on the market that can reach higher Horsepower levels, which is where the Mercedes-Benz New Actros falls short. The fuel tank options have a decent range, however, from 480 I all the way to 1140 I.

6 MAN TGX Euro 6

The Best Mid-Tier Upgrades

MAN has some of the best mid-tier trucks in the game, offering low prices without the sacrifice of a strong engine. The Man TGX Euro 6 is one of the newer models that has the capacity to be upgraded to a massive 640 Horsepower with impressive torque to allow easy acceleration.

Though this truck has some excellent upgrades for a reasonable price that won't break the bank, it really struggles with its large blind spots. However, it does make up for this with an incredibly wide front window, allowing players to take in all the scenery the game has to offer. You can also choose from a decent range of fuel tanks, from 400 I to 1160 I, though there are certainly better options available to you.

5 MAN TG3 TGX

The Best Visual Interior

Similar to the MAN TGX Euro 6, the MAN TG3 TGX has models available that range from 330 to 640 Horsepower. The difference here, however, is the transmission, with the MAN TG3 TGX offering an Automated 12/14 Speed as opposed to an Automated 12/16 Speed, making it easier to shift gears in manual mode and accelerate faster.

While these two trucks look about the same as well, the MAN TG3 TGX offers a more simplified and sleek interior, making it the more visually appealing of the two. This option offers a large front window and side windows as well, allowing you to more easily navigate the roads ahead.

4 Renault E-Tech T

An Electric Powerhouse

As electric vehicles become more and more common, they have started to make their way into the world of trucking as well. One of the first electric trucks to be introduced into Euro Truck Simulator 2 is the Renault E-Tech T, and it is certainly worth the wait. This electric-powered option has a high Horsepower range, reaching all the way up to 666 Horsepower. It is also a lot more affordable than many players might expect and can be a great option for any player or their team of drivers.

Its stats are certainly impressive, and many players will find themselves enjoying their driving with this truck, especially with its sleek and large front windows for optimal visibility. Truckers won't need to worry about fuel tanks with this choice either, with charges lasting up to 500 km of travel. The only thing holding this truck back is its lack of upgrades to make it stronger.

3 Scania R 2016

A Powerful High-End Truck

The Scania R 2016 is where we really get into the hefty, robust engines. This truck offers an upgrade reaching 730 Horsepower and incredibly high torque, making it easy to hoist heavy cargo over long distances and accelerate with ease. For gamers just getting started with long-distance jobs, the Scania R 2016 is a good starter with fantastic visibility.

This truck is one of the cheaper choices for high-end options, barely scraping above 300,000 Euros with just a basic paint job. Its fuel tanks can range anywhere from 600 I to 1290 I as well, allowing you to avoid frequent gas station trips. There should be no problem tackling the more advanced jobs with this heavy-hitter.

2 Scania S

The Most Stable Truck

The Scania S is almost exactly the same as the Scania R 2016, with the same engine, transmission, fuel tank, and more. Players might think these are essentially the same and aren't worth comparing, but there is one thing that the Scania S has over the Scania R 2016: a higher roof.

The Scania S is the same price as the Scania R 2016, but the higher roof will allow for additional stability. The truck will be less likely to tip, so gamers can be more wild with their speed without having to worry about taking a tumble and needing to shell out thousands for repairs.

1 Volvo FH

The Best For Powerful Horsepower And Torque

Last but certainly not least, we have the Volvo FH. This truck is by far the fastest and most powerful in the game, with an incredible 750 Horsepower offered with its strongest engine and torque that destroys all the other trucks on this list, allowing for optimal acceleration.

This truck is actually quite affordable for its impressive features. If players stick to a basic paint job and have no additional aesthetic accessories, this truck can hover around 278,000 Euros. Even the basic interior is pleasing to the eye; the center console takes on a triangular shape, making it easier to reach the controls, with a gorgeous white color on top. This truck has one of the larger fuel tanks in the game as well, ranging from 800 I all the way to a massive 1400 I.
