Three-course dining deals and more are available at 70-plus restaurants in the Greenville and Spartanburg area during the 11-day food excursion known as Restaurant Week, which will take place from Aug. 15 to 25 and is hosted by the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (SCRLA).
Twice a year, the Upstate's best dining spaces offer discounted lunch and dinner options to help promote the flourishing food and dining scene between the two counties. In total, nine cities participate in Restaurant Week across the Palmetto State each year, with Greenville and Spartanburg being the most popular of the group.
"Our hope is that people go out and try restaurants they haven't tried before; they're all unique and possess great summer produce and menus," said Lenza Jolley, vice president of membership and development at SCRLA. "There's something for everyone to enjoy."
This specific restaurant week has taken place since 2010 and has hosted a mix of local, regional, and national dining options. It is designed to boost sales and visibility for the various eateries in the Greenville and Spartanburg area. According to Jolley, they hope to influence those living in the Upstate to dine locally while gauging interest, specifically in the Union, Cherokee, Laurens, Pickens, Asheville, and rural Anderson areas.

They are offering a three-course meal for a $34 deal that includes a tough choice for entreé: tomato pie or shrimp burger. Best practices, tips for dining out during Greenville/Anderson Restaurant Week 2024
- Always plan and make reservations because many Upstate residents are planning to dine out during this period
- Be mindful of what restaurants offer under Restaurant Week deals, and check the website or call to ensure the deals are accurate and still available.
- Practice patience with the hospitality staff. Shortages, capacity issues, and other in-house issues may cause a delay in service.
